I wrote about Spirit Guides before and I’m being urged to do it again, mainly because I’ve been experiencing recurring dreams about writing this article! It felt like an urgent message and I’ve been waking up at night with an alarming, high-pitched ringing in my ears.
To understand if my intuition was correct, I meditated instantly upon waking up at 5:30 am this morning. Since our brain is transitioning from delta > beta > alpha waves during the first few minutes of waking up, its a potent time to meditate, visualize, manifest, and connect with our Spirit team.
The message was loud and clear – I’ve been brushing off certain messages from my spiritual team. So, if you felt the urge to click on my story today, perhaps your Spirit Guides are also nudging you to continue reading!
They want you to know that they’re here to help, if you ever need it.
Where Are Our Spirit Guides?
Our Spirit Guides are always with us. They’re not snooping or spying on us, but they’re always connected to us! They may occasionally listen in when discussing spirituality, experiencing distress, or enduring a crisis. They know when we’re happy and when we’re sad.
If we need help, they’re there, but sometimes we need to invite them to intervene in our lives. To put this into perspective, imagine an invisible cord of energy connecting you with your Guides. Whatever emotions you are currently feeling will be transmitted along that energy cord.
Your Spirit Guides will sense your emotions and respond accordingly. If they don’t sense that you want any help specifically from them, it’s Universal law that they cannot interfere unless absolutely necessary – which is why it’s so beneficial to start talking to them and encourage their assistance.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that everything will start going wrong if we fail to spot the messages from our Spirit guides. However, if we ignore their signs, we may find ourselves walking a much more difficult path than if we had accepted their help.
Who Exactly is Your Spirit Guide?
Most of them will come and go, but your main Spirit Guide stays with you for life (and many lives previous)… no matter what. Some of our deceased loved ones can also “sign up” as our Spirit Guides, even if it’s just temporarily before they reincarnate into a new body.
In that case, they’ll still be near you because soul mates tend to reincarnate within the same “soul families”, so while someone might have been a parent, friend, or relative in their past life, they could sign on as your Spirit Guide temporarily, before reincarnating as your newborn child (for example) in their next lifetime.
Tuning into your spiritual side is the best way to find out who your Spirit Guides are. The more connected to the spirit realm you are, the easier your Guides can communicate with you. Don’t be shy to simply ask your Guides to send you a sign about their identity, e.g., seeing repeating words in books or articles.
You may be able to see your Spirit Guides with the gift of clairvoyance. This psychic ability makes it possible to perceive information from the spiritual realm with the mind’s eye – a gift that requires pineal gland decalcification. Lucid dreaming is another way to see who your Spirit Guides are.
A reputable psychic may also be able to help you find out the names of your Spirit Guides, or you could request your Guides to reveal themselves, meditate on it, and channel their energy with spontaneous writing.
Pay Attention to Your Spirit Guide’s Call
Spirit Guides crave and seek interaction with humans. The connection shared between us and our Guides is a symbiotic relationship, where we mutually benefit from one another.
Aside from the typical visual and auditory signs from the Universe (which are equally as important), let’s explore some important signs that your Spirit Guides are desperately trying to catch your attention:
Spontaneous Repetitive Thoughts
Your Spirit Guides may telepathically transmit the same word or phrases to make you aware of their presence. If you’re not getting the message, they will send the same message repeatedly until you can’t ignore it any longer. So, if you’re thinking about something random that just pops into your mind with no understanding why, dig deeper into the spiritual meaning!
Last week, I spontaneously started thinking about starting an online business. I won’t say the specific type of business here, because I don’t want to jinx myself! Anyhow, the thought was merely in my mind – I didn’t even speak out loud/to anyone about it, search online, or act on it. Five days later, a friend approached me and told me that they think I’d be perfect at starting that exact type of business. I was gobsmacked!
Loud Ringing in the Ears that Wakes You Up
Waking up due to a loud ringing in the ears is a strong sign that your Spirit Guides are urgently trying to draw your attention to some unresolved issue. Alternatively, you may be at a crossroads in your life and they’re trying to guide you in the right direction by making you aware of their spiritual presence. Unlike tinnitus, spiritual ringing in the ear changes in pitch, depending on the message. Plus, it is not accompanied by any pain or discomfort. It’s just a signal, so tune in!
I experience constant ringing (of fluctuating tones) in my ears, with the pitch changing based on whether it’s internal spiritual communication or Earthly energy being transmitted, e.g., if someone is talking about you or feeling some emotion towards you. If the pitch lowers to a buzzing sound, I know there’s an energy shift or negative spirit in my presence, whereas higher frequencies usually reflect the opposite.
Memorable Messages In Your Dreams
Since our souls can travel in the Astral Realm when we sleep, it’s a prime opportunity for our Spirit Guides to send us a message. If you’re having recurring dreams or noticing recurring symbolism in different dreams, it could be a vital message from your Spirit Guide(s). When one of my best friends passed away, she spoke to me in a lucid dream and told me that she had signed on as my Spirit Guide. I felt her kiss my forehead and cheeks, and I woke up in tears. It was really beautiful and SO real, especially since I didn’t know what Spirit Guides were back then.
Sudden Intuitive Feelings & Thoughts
If you have noticed that certain emotions or thought processes are overwhelming your mind (just out of the blue and for no apparent reason), I highly recommend meditating on it! It’s more than likely an energetic connection that’s being channeled for a reason. The same applies if you’re constantly thinking about a random song (or hearing it everywhere), so pay attention to the lyrics.
This happened to me last week – I felt suddenly nervous, as though I was preparing to go on-stage and perform in front of a huge crowd! I channeled those feelings, spoke to my Guides, and they told me that someone is missing me and is worried we will never meet again. My intuition told me who it was since I was having vivid dreams about that person before (and after) the nervousness occurred.
Objects Unexpectedly Falling or Moving
This might sound like something in a creepy movie, but your friendly Spirit Guides may also mysteriously knock objects over to grasp your attention or (for example) cause a candle flame to flicker with no wind. They might even hide or move an object, e.g., putting a specific crystal in an obvious place because it serves you, or hiding it because it doesn’t serve you right now!
Not long ago, I was telling my friend that I really need to dedicate time to guitar-playing again, when suddenly, it randomly fell over in my bedroom. I took it as a sign to channel my musical side!
Changes in Temperature or Light
As I mentioned in my previous article about Spirit Guides, one of the main signs that a friendly spirit is trying to contact you involves seeing a flash of light from the corner of your eye. You might also see it in plain view. Sudden temperature changes or tingling can also be interpreted as a sign of Spirit Guide communication – they’re telling you to take them seriously and tap into their wisdom.
I’d have to write a book to explain all of my experiences like this! However, I frequently see flashes of light from the corner of my right eye when I talk about my Spirit Guides or when they’re trying to tell me something. I also see a lot of blue lights floating around me (which represents Divine guidance) and I often feel a warm hand touching my arm when nobody’s around.
Recurring Number Patterns & Symbols
Seeing recurring number sequences — such as ‘1111’, ’33’, or ‘2323’ — is not a coincidence. It’s synchronicity. Known as “Angel numbers”, this numerical form of communication is also favoured by Spirit Guides. Each number sequence holds a specific underlying message, as do symbols, such as seeing specific-coloured feathers, coins, cloud shapes, and billboard signs.
I remember seeing an intense amount of numerical synchronicity during the “888 Portal” that occured on August 8th, 2024 (8+8+2+0+2+4). All day since that morning, I kept seeing numbers ’88’ and ‘888’ everywhere, including the barcode on three items purchased at a local supermarket and the code printed on my receipt at the ATM machine. I already understood this spiritual message before 2:00 p.m. that day, but it really surprised me when I saw a black Jeep drive past me with just the numbers ‘8888’ on the number plate! My Guides were telling me that good fortune was headed my way, and they were right – abundance is one of the main meanings behind the number eight!
Connecting with Your Spirit Guides
Remember to balance awareness and critical thinking when deciphering signs from the Universe in general, let alone your Spirit Guides. Not everything is a sign, even though signs can be found in everything… if that makes sense.
Simply put, if you are intuitively aware and are experiencing too many “coincidences”, there most definitely is a sign in there somewhere. If it’s a one-off random occurrence, it might not be.
Even if you haven’t been experiencing any signs, you can still contact your trusty team of high-vibrational beings. Always address your Spirit Guides with unconditional love and Divine White Light. Ask them to connect with you for the highest good and compassion to ensure you are receiving insights from the correct source.
I always say the following (and light a purifying incense stick) before connecting with my Spirit Guides:
“I am a Divine being of light. I am Divinely guided and protected, and I am surrounded in Divine White Light. I am open to receive Divine knowledge and guidance from my Spirit Guides, who are assisting me for the highest good and compassion with unconditional love and Divine White Light. And so it is. Thank you, I love you.”
Pay attention to your voice within and any feelings that emerge after doing so. You might also sense their presence or just know that it’s not just your own mind telling you things – it’s a telepathically transmitted message from your Spirit team.
I have heard my Guides talking to me and I see them in vivid dreams, where I can even feel them touch my face. Just because you might not see them, it doesn’t mean they’re not there – they most definitely are with you right now!
Ask for a reassurance sign from your Spirit Guides if you ever feel uncertain. They will take any opportunity to grasp your attention and they’re waiting for your call.
